The RSA Story

The factory was originally owned by the Royal Ordnance.

This Royal Small Arms site was famous for over 170 years as a centre of excellence for manufacturing firearms.

The Enfield Lock site was a vibrant community of families who were both working at the factory and mainly living locally.

Buildings on site also included a:

  • church (the original font is displayed in the central courtyard at the Centre)
  • police station
  • school
